Here’s Our First Look At Kristen Wiig As Dr. Minerva In Wonder Woman 1984

Last week DC fans got their first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor in Patty Jenkin's Wonder Woman sequel, Wonder Woman 1984.

Now, after a series of set images and videos have made their way online, it looks like a new photo taken from the set of the film give us our very first look at Kristen Wiig in Wonder Woman 1984.

Posted by DC fan Michael Carmichael, we get to see a picture of Wiig walking around the set of Wonder Woman 1984 in her 80's attire as Barbara Ann Minerva. The actress and comedian might have been brought aboard the film to play the villain of the film, Cheetah, but it looks like we might begin with the wild feline's backstory as Dr. Minerva, a British archaeologist who's gained a reputation for being a person who goes to any lengths to obtain artifacts.

There have also been rumors that in Wonder Woman 1984, Wiig's Dr. Minerva starts off as Diana's friend. Later on, Minerva moves on to become the main villain in the film, "seeking to usurp" Wonder Woman.

It does sound like a pretty convincing theory, though there are other potential roles for Cheetah. Perhaps Cheetah could be the secondary villain while Pedro Pascal's mysterious "god in disguise" would play Wonder Woman 1984's big bad?

Let's wait and see.
