Here's How The Punisher Season 2 Paid Tribute To Stan Lee

The second season of The Punisher is finally here and it looks like the series has paid tribute to Marvel icon Stan Lee in its own special way.

Every Marvel series on Netflix has found a way to feature a Stan Lee cameo in the past. Although we have yet to find the Stan the Man easter egg in The Punisher Season 2, the show decided to dedicate the entire season to Lee with a simple message in Episode 13.

It's a short message but it still sends chills down everyone's spine when we remember that Lee will never make another cameo again in the future. Nevertheless, there is little doubt that Lee approves of The Punisher Season 2.

Lee passed away on November 12, 2018, in Los Angeles, California. The Marvel icon had been battling pneumonia before suffering from cardiac arrest with respiratory failure. Needless to say, his death affected every Marvel fan deeply.

The second season certainly had some interesting additions. There's a new villain named John Pilgrim who wants to use Billy Russo to his advantage. Frank Castle also gets a new companion in Amy Bendix. Interestingly, Detective Brett Mahoney, who famously captured Frank with the help of Matt Murdock in Daredevil Season 2, makes an appearance as well.

So what is the future for The Punisher? Fans are concerned that the series will be canceled by Netflix just a few weeks after the release on the second season. For now, we are crossing our fingers on this one but stay tuned for any updates on the Marvel shows.

The second season of The Punisher is currently streaming on Netflix.
