Lucasfilm might have decided to skip Star Wars Celebration this year, but that doesn't mean the studio's forgotten its promise to bring back the biggest Star Wars fan gathering in 2019.
The official Twitter account for the Star Wars Celebration has just announced the dates and locations for the highly anticipated 2019 convention. Star Wars fans better get their butts ready, because according to the account's post, Star Wars Celebration is going to make its way to McCormick Place in Chicago and stay from April 11 to April 15 next year.
There might not be too many details outside of the dates and locations for Star Wars Celebration, but according to Lucasfilm fans are going to get a full website with official hotel information and event details soon. Fans planning to attend the convention can also expect the start of Star Wars Celebration ticket sales at noon CST on June 5.
Star Wars Celebration 2019 is pretty great news for Star Wars fans around the US. One of the biggest fan events in Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away, Star Wars Celebration offers exclusive screenings, panels with Star Wars movie casts and crew, signing events, as well as sneak peaks at Lucasfilm's upcoming projects.
The convention is definitely going to be a great place for Lucasfilm to make Star Wars: Episode IX announcements. We can't wait to learn what the studio has planned for the final chapter of its sequel trilogy.
