Henry Cavill Reps Claim His ‘Demands’ for a Superman Sequel are False

News came out earlier today that the reason for Henry Cavill's delay on being Superman was because he was making some huge demands with the studio including a producer credit plus director and script approval for Man of Steel 2. As it turns out, these rumors are all false.

Collider had reached out the Cavill's reps to which they say that there was ‘no truth to this' rumor and that it was ‘patently inaccurate'.

Last September, the internet was in an uproar after it was reported that Cavill would be leaving the Superman role to pursue work on Netflix's The Witcher. After reading all the other reports, it's possible that there was a miscommunication, and the more accurate news is that WB has no current plans for Superman, and Cavill needed to keep working so he got attached to The Witcher.

If anything, it's still very likely that Cavill could appear as Superman in the DCEU. The only question is when. It's said that he couldn't make a cameo in Shazam! due to some schedule conflicts, but I have my hopes up that he was able to make the time during the extended reshoots that took place last December.

As for Ben Affleck's Batman though, it's official that the solo movie is going to cast someone younger for the role. Then again, if WB decides to go back to an older Bruce Wayne in the Justice League era, then maybe Affleck could make a comeback.

Pretty please, Mr. Affleck?

The next DCEU film set to come out is Shazam! and it hits theaters April 5.
