After the release of an awesome poster, a lot more people have started to get curious about the upcoming Hellboy reboot starring Dave Harbour. The trailer was apparently screened during a con, and someone has leaked it online.

It looks like the movie won't be as dark as we expected as the trailer does have a very lighthearted vibe. Some would even say that this was an attempt to try and be like the Deadpool franchise. Though we do get some mild violence, the upbeat music and the quips seem to set the tone of the movie as a whole, and I have to say, I'm a bit excited.
When the movie was first announced, I was thinking that they were going to make the franchise a lot scarier, but it seems that they're following the tone of the Guillermo del Toro films but with just a more mature rating. If anything, I'm all up for it. I guess the kids who grew up watching Hellboy are old enough to enjoy this version when it comes out anyway.
As for the look of the character, I have a feeling that he's going to evolve by the end of the film. It seems that this will follow the character in the earlier days before he starts working with Liz or Abe Sapien. I think the giveaway is the fact that he has his hair down the whole trailer. By the end, I expect Hellboy to sport his signature topknot.
Hopefully, they officially release the trailer before the month ends.
