Hellboy Reboot Gets A Brand New Fiery Poster

There's a brand new poster for Neill Marshall's upcoming Hellboy reboot, and it looks absolutely lit.

Entertainment Weekly just dropped the very first poster for Lionsgate and Millennium Film's upcoming Hellboy, releasing the brand new promotional image days before the start of this year's New York Comic Con.

Hellboy drew a lot of scrutiny from fans when the film was first announced by Millennium earlier this year. Fans had been clamoring for another Guillermo del Toro Hellboy movie for years, hoping to see Ron Perlman reprise his role as the unwilling Harbinger of the Apocalypse.

Though the original Hellboy movie and its follow-up Hellboy II: The Golden army were both minor box office success, the films were well-received by fans and critics. Many were hoping to see a Hellboy III – unfortunately, Millennium decided to reboot the franchise, picking Marshall as the film's new director and Stranger Things actor David Harbour as its lead star.

However, while fans did initially have their doubts about the Hellboy reboot, some have come to like the prospects of the film with Millennium promising a movie more faithful to the actual Hellboy comic books.

Taking notes from one of the most important arcs in the Hellboy comic book series, the Great Beast of the Apocalypse must face against an ancient sorceress seeking revenge against mankind.

Hellboy is also set to star Ian McShane who plays Hellboy's adoptive father, Daniel Dae Kim who is set to play the undead Ben Daimio, Sasha Lane who plays Alice Monaghan, a human woman Hellboy saved from fairies, and Milla Jovovich as Nimue, the Blood Queen.

Hellboy is set for release on April 12, 2019.
