Heavenly Delusion Timeline Fan Theory
Heavenly Delusion follows two plotlines; the first is about Kiruko and Maru’s journey to find heaven while the other follows Tokio at the isolated Takahara Academy.
Even early into the show’s broadcast, there have been many fans who theorize that these two plotlines are happening at different times.
Specifically, some fans believe that the Takahara Academy story is set in the past.
Meanwhile, they believe that the Kiruko and Maru storyline is happening in the present day.
The story at Takahara Academy may also reveal the mystery of the apocalyptic event that changed Japan.
As an extension of this theory, some fans believe that Dr. Usami and Hoshio from Episode 8 are Shiro and Mimihime from Takahara Academy. This is based on their appearances and Shiro’s penchant for tinkering with tech.
Though in the latest episode, a reveal about Takahara Academy may have just confirmed that the Tokio storyline is set years in the past.

Heavenly Delusion’s Latest Episode May Have Confirmed the Two Timelines
As Kiruko and Maru try to find where Dr. Usami was supposed to go, they come across a building with the same logo as Kiruko’s gun.
As they explored the building, they find that the logo is for Takahara Academy.
Specifically, they found themselves at a branch office, and a flyer indicates that there are two main locations.
Given the state of the branch, it’s likely that Takahara Academy is no longer functioning, indicating that the Tokio plotline happens in the past.
What’s more, it was revealed that Tokio has become pregnant, which put the facility’s caretakers in shock.
With this, some fans now theorize that Maru might be Tokio’s son given how similar they look.
Of course, these are just theories for now, and fans will need to wait for Heavenly Delusion Episode 10 this weekend to find out more.
