Hawkeye Star Jeremy Renner Requests for Child Support Reduction Due to COVID-19

It looks like Marvel's Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner is requesting for some leniency on his child support payments now that the spread of COVID-19 is shutting down the entertainment industry.

According to a report by TMZ, Renner filed documents to a Los Angeles judge asking the court for a reduction in the amount of child support that he provides his ex-wife, Sonny Pacheco, for the care of his daughter Ava. The documents reportedly reveal that Renner pays approximately thirty thousand dollars per month for their child's housing, food, transportation, and other needs.

While Renner's request mostly boils down to Renner working on fewer projects because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, the documents also argue that Pacheco mismanages the money that the actor provides as child support. According to the Avengers: Endgame star, Pacheco uses some of that money to further the ongoing custody battle that he and his ex have over their daughter, as well as to support her current lifestyle. Renner reportedly believes that the needs of his daughter only come up to $11,000 per month.

Sure, we may not really be able to properly judge the battle between Pacheco and Renner, however, we can't really deny how COVID-19 might be affecting Renner's line of work. Not only has the virus forced studios to delay the release of highly anticipated movies like Mulan, No Time to Die, New Mutants, and Black Widow, it's also forced studios to shut down the production of movies and series like James Cameron's Avatar and Marvel's Loki series.

Not only that, but Renner may no longer be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe now that Avengers: Endgame is done.
