Halo 6 is Coming After All

Earlier this month, 343 Industries announced Halo: Fireteam Raven, a new arcade game developed by arcade moguls Play Mechanix and Raw Thrills together with 343 Industries. While some Halo fans are thrilled about the upcoming arcade game, some are already concerned if the game developer has focused their resources on the arcade title rather than the console game Halo 6.

However, Halo community manager Brian Jerrard revealed to Twitter that Fireteam Raven did not divert the 343 Industries team's focus on Halo 6. Jarrard clarified that Fireteam Raven was made by Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix. 343 Industries was involved but much of the development was done by the arcade companies.

PSA: Fireteam Raven has zero impact on the 343 development team which has already been working on the next console game. H:FR is built by an external arcade developer. Just like the Halo books or toys aren't being created _instead of_ the next Halo game. Plenty to go around ?

I get that ppl are just super eager for any info on the next "real" game, but I don't get the blind outrage at a totally separate cool thing that a lot of ppl will enjoy ? Hmm that makes me sound old.

Halo 5, which was released three years ago, was met with mixed reviews. It looks like this is an ideal year for Microsoft and 343 Industries to revive the first-person sci-fi franchise. E3 is coming in a few days, so hopefully, they'll announce some information about the next console Halo game.

Sadly, no release date has been announced for the sequel yet.
