Haikyu!! fans won’t have to wait much longer now for the anime’s story to continue. That’s because Haikyu!! Final Movie Part 1 recently revealed its February 2024 release date.
The film’s release was confirmed in a new trailer that showed off brand-new footage featuring Shoyo and Kenma. These two characters will be the focal points of the upcoming movie.
As previously announced, this upcoming film is only the first in the two-part film project. Based on its story details, the films will likely conclude the anime’s story.
Haikyu!! Final Movie Part 1 Gets New Trailer
Officially titled Haikyu!! The Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump, the first part of the movie project was revealed last month.
It was also revealed then that the two-part film series will cover the match between Karasuno High and Nekoma High. Thus, fans expect that the two movies will serve as the long-awaited conclusion of the anime.
To hype up the film’s release, a new trailer for it was finally unveiled during the Haikyu!! Festa 2023 event yesterday. Soon after, the trailer was also uploaded online. You can watch it here:
This isn’t the first trailer for Part 1, though it does give fans their best look yet at the long-awaited matchup. After all, the trailer focuses mostly on Shoyo Hinata and Kenma Kozume as they lead their respective teams.
Along with the trailer’s release, it was confirmed that the movie was written and directed by Susumu Mitsunaka. He is also the director of the anime series’ first and third seasons.

Haikyu!! Final Movie Part 1 Gets February 2024 Release Date
Haikyu!! is an incredibly popular anime series by Production I.G, the studio behind other hits such as Kuroko’s Basketball and Psycho-Pass.
The anime series started in 2014 and has since gotten four seasons. In 2020, the manga that it’s based on ended, meaning the anime’s conclusion is also on the horizon.
Instead of a fifth season though, Production I.G announced two movies that are expected to conclude the anime’s story. This resulted in concerns among fans as two films might not be enough to cover the finale.
Fans won’t have to wait for much longer to find out though. That’s because Haikyu!! Final Movie Part 1 will be released on February 16, 2024.
For now, there’s no word yet on international release plans. But given the franchise’s popularity, it’s likely that it will get a cinema release in the US in 2024, even if it’s only for a limited time.
