Ha Yeon Soo seemingly ended her nearly-a-decade old career in South Korea.

After debuting in 2013 through Monstar, Ha Yeon Soo landed in more movies and series that expanded her acting career even more.

So far, she has added several titles under her belt, including Potato Star 2013QR3, 4 Legendary Witches, Conte and the City, Oh! Dear Goddesses of Basement and Very Ordinary Couple. She also famously appeared in the music videos of BIGBANG’s Let’s Not Fall in Love and Punch’s Heart.

Her fans, however, have been shocked by the news about her alleged retirement.

Ha Yeon Soo’s Former Agency Speaks Up About Her Rumored Retirement

Fans recently noticed that the actress’ profile had been removed and deleted from websites. As she has also not been promoting for years, it has led to speculations that she has retired from the industry already.

Her former agency, ANDMARQ, issued a statement to reveal what the company knows about Ha Yeon Soo.

According to the label, its exclusive contract with the actress was already inspired. Thus, it truly does not know her current status in the industry.

“Our exclusive contract with Ha Yeon Soo ended early this year. To our knowledge, she is currently studying art abroad in Japan. Regarding the erasure of her online profile, the agency added, “Her profile was not erased by the company. The details are hard for us to confirm,” it said, as quoted by SPOTVNews.

Ha Yeon Soo Faced Issues Before Hiatus

Before the actress jetted to Japan, she dealt with numerous issues that were brought back to the spotlight in recent years.

In 2019, she opened up about an Instagram post in 2018 which she took from her trip to Russia. One of the photos features a red and white tent design at a circus. People immediately condemned her as it looked like the Rising Sun flag – the controversial symbol related to Japanese imperialism.

She also suffered from harassment from a malicious commenter for years. The person in question constantly shared malicious comments about her through an online community page from Naver Café. Ha Yeon Soo eventually received an apology from the person involved.
