Guy Gardner Confirmed For Green Lantern Corps Movie?

After the 2011 Green Lantern failed to meet expectations, fans are hoping that Green Lantern Corps will make up for that. With Geoff Johns working on the script, fans are hoping that this will be a solid comic book movie that pays tribute to Johns' run, as well as other significant Green Lantern stories.

While we haven't gotten any concrete updates on the DC film, fans did notice something interesting from Johns' Mad Ghost Productions website. It has updated and added some photos to projects that originally didn't have them, including Green Lantern Corps. The image is a cover of a Green Lantern comic that has Hal Jordan, John Stewart, and Guy Gardner, the last of whom no one expected.

Fans on Reddit have been buzzing about the news, hoping that it leads to Gardner's live-action debut. Hal and John were a given, thanks to rumors, but most of us expected to see Gardner in a cameo role at most. The image might indicate a leading role for Gardner alongside Jordan and Stewart but it's a bit hard to base that on a comic book cover.

Gardner has appeared in animated programs before and is a fan-favorite from the comics. It would be fun seeing him appear in a live-action film, especially since he might be taking orders from Hal Jordan.

Green Lantern Corps does not have a release date.
