If magical girls have mascots who give them special powers, so do the evil magical girls!

Venalita is anime’s newest and cutest evil mascot in Gushing Over Magical Girls, who appeared before an awkward and super average high school student, Utena Hiiragi.

Venalita is the mascot of the evil organization Enormita, which aims to rule and conquer the world.

At first, Utena mistook Venalita for a cute and loving mascot character who gives girls magic powers, but it turns out that Venalita is the complete opposite.

Not only did Venalita do in-depth research on Utena, but it also looked into the girl’s family, friends, and classmates.

The evil mascot followed Utena around, gathering the necessary data to assess her villainous potential. Venalita believes that every person, including Utena, has unique skills that he will not let go of.

Eventually, Venalita made a villain out of Utena, in the belief that she was the perfect candidate to be the next villain who would carry on the flag of Enormita now that its senior villains are temporarily away.

She coerced Utena to take on the identity of Magia Baiser, the sadistic villain who aims to make Tres Magia suffer in different ways.

He even gave Utena a special weapon called Frustino Dominanza, which can create monsters with just one whip!

Venalita looks like a stuffed animal, similar to Cardcaptor Sakura’s Kero-chan, Kobato’s Ioryogi, Danganronpa’s Monokuma, and Bleach’s Kon, just to name a few.

This evil mascot has a very cute appearance as if it’s a black catlike stuffed animal. It has a gold star for its tail and even gold star symbols both on its ears and chest.

It also looks like it's wearing baggy sleeves, which cover its hands. Both its eyes and mouth are gold, with no nose whatsoever.

It will not be a surprise if Venalita is made into an actual stuffed animal or even a plushie, given its cute appearance.

For starters, Venalita is willing to use any means necessary to recruit members of the evil organization of Enormita.

It coerced Utena to become Magia Baiser by recording videos of Utena’s magical transformation and even her villainous activities toward the Tres Magia.

Venalita even manipulated Utena, saying that Tres Magia needed her to become a villain for the magical girls to stick around. Without Utena, Tres Magia will cease to exist, which Utena eventually believes.

At some point, Venalita even fooled Utena, saying that he was only doing evil deeds to save his fellow people from being killed by magical girls.

Fun fact: Venalita’s name comes from the Latin word "Venalitas,” which means corruptible or bribable, fitting for the evil mascot’s shrewd and scheming personality.
