With the show down to its last few episodes, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is hyping up its Season 2 finale in a new trailer that features a rundown of some of the show’s biggest events so far.
This new trailer doesn’t exactly feature new footage, though it’s cut in such a way that hypes up the upcoming big events of the final few episodes.
From the looks of it, The Witch from Mercury will have a grim finale based on the events of the previous episodes, though it’s not clear if the story will continue in another season.
The Witch from Mercury Season 2 Promises a Grim Finale
When the new Mobile Suit Gundam anime aired back in Fall 2022, many were taken by surprise because of its school setting and lighter, slice-of-life-inspired episodes. But as the season went on, some darker moments popped up.
By the end though, The Witch from Mercury Season 1 has become a grim and violent show like the previous Gundam anime that came before it.
With Season 2, while there was a slight tease that the lighter school aspects will continue, that wasn’t the case.
Instead, Season 2 continued to be a dark and grim show, with lots of events that are traumatic for its characters. Guel Jeturk is a particular character that has had a tough time so far.
Aside from traumatic events, the show proved that many characters are not safe, as two major characters met an unfortunate end in a previous episode.
And with the finale coming up, it’s possible that we’ll see more.

Gundam: Witch from Mercury Season 2 Finale Trailer
To hype up the remaining episodes, The Witch from Mercury showed off a new trailer that features some of the major events of the past episode, featuring Suletta Mercury.
Uploaded on the show’s official Twitter account, the trailer also features dialogue from the likes of Suletta, Miorine, Shaddiq, and more.

As revealed in the show’s Blu-ray listings on the website, this new Gundam anime will have 24 episodes in total (25 if you count the prologue).
Given that Season 2 has gotten 10 episodes already, The Witch from Mercury is now on its last two episodes.
Witch from Mercury Episode 21 will be released on June 25, 2023. Then the proper final episode will be released on July 2, 2023.
Right now, there’s no word yet on a third season for the series.
