In the year C.E. 73, the growing tensions between Coordinators and Naturals escalate, sparking a new conflict between the PLANT and the Earth Alliance.

Sven Cal Bayan, a skilled Natural pilot belonging to the elite Earth Alliance unit, the Phantom Pain, dutifully executes numerous anti-Coordinator missions.

Meanwhile, Selene McGriff, a Coordinator researcher at the neutral Deep Space Survey and Development Organization (DSSD), is actively involved in developing the GSX-401FW Stargazer, a mobile suit designed for space exploration.

Despite their different backgrounds, the intensifying war inevitably intertwines their destinies.

The events in this series unfolded immediately after the Break the World Incident.

The Break the World Incident marks the conflict that triggered the Second Alliance-PLANT War, as depicted in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny.

The Gundam franchise is incredibly complex with several stories and side stories under the Gundam umbrella.

Broadly speaking, works deemed as canon include any series or movie that has been filmed and animated by Sunrise.

So, it is safe to say that Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer is canon.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer is true to the Gundam genre, meaning it has mecha elements and is within the Mobile Suit Gundam universe.

Susumu Nishizawa directed Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer, with Shigeru Morita as the writer.

Both contributors were previously involved in the production of Gundam SEED Destiny.

Comprising three installments, the series started its web broadcast in July 2006, with a new episode released every month.

A manga adaptation of the series by Naoki Moriya released in 2006 and 2007. It includes an epilogue that resolves the previously uncertain fate of Selene and Sven.

The ending sees them alive and unharmed, with Sven subsequently becoming a member of the DSSD.
