It remains to be seen when we’ll be seeing Adam Warlock after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Although he has become a new member of the Guardians team, Will Poulter hints his character’s bound to have plenty more twists in the future.
“It’s clear that James [Gunn] was putting a certain twist on [Adam] Warlock.” Poulter said in an interview with GQ Magazine.
“That was a really fun place to explore because there was the opportunity for drama and comedy in that.”
Poulter added this was one of the many things he loved personally about the Guardians franchise, “These characters are funny but they all feel psychologically genuine.”
As for the inevitable fate Warlock had to face on treading his journey in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Poulter said:
“[Warlock] is definitely not a good guy. What we’re seeing is the infant form of Warlock, newly out of the cocoon, and he does not understand life very well.” Poulter then added, “He’s basically an infant.”

If there was one thing Poulter had to thank for, it’s for following Pratt’s advice to him in the duration of filming.
“I remember Chris Pratt said to me, ‘Sometimes James is going to throw things at you and you’re going to be like, ‘What are you talking about? You’ve lost your mind.’ Just trust him.’”
In the duration of filming, Poulter had a few words to say on following Pratt’s advice:
“I did that and by the end, I felt really confident in just doing whatever James said.” Poulter added, “James is a visionary, there is no question.”
With James Gunn leaving Marvel to focus on building his new DCU slate, what’s to become of the new Guardians team? I guess only time will tell.
