Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Director James Gunn Comments on Death Threats over Rocket's Fate

It might still be a long wait but people are already speculating about what could happen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. One of the more popular fan theories is the possibility that the third Guardians film will be the last one for Rocket Raccoon. Not surprisingly, some aren't very happy with the idea of Rocket being killed off and have allegedly been sending death threats to director James Gunn.

A fan recently reached out to Gunn on Twitter claiming that the director will die if Rocket is killed in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Here's what the filmmaker has to say about that matter.

Unfortunately, the fan's tweet has since been deleted but Gunn's other followers were quick to react to the "death threat."

It's interesting to note that Gunn claims this isn't the first time he has been threatened on social media. Although we can't be sure what the other death threats were for, it's still ridiculous to threaten a filmmaker simply because your favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe character could bite the dust in an upcoming film.

For now, it is unclear if Rocket will truly get killed in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, there have been reports stating that the third movie will put the focus on Bradley Cooper's character. Let's just hope that Rocket gets a truly amazing storyline that will make the wait for GOTGV3 worthwhile.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
