Guardians Of The Galaxy Star Teases Nova Corps' Return In Avengers: Endgame

Marvel Studios/Disney

At this point, anything can happen in Avengers: Endgame. But is it possible that some characters we've lost before Thanos snapped his fingers will be returning? A Guardians of the Galaxy star has teased on the possible involvement of the Nova Corps this April.

Peter Serafinowicz played a fun role in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie. In the film, he portrayed Garthan Saal, a Nova Corp officer who was clearly unimpressed with the Guardians, calling them "a bunch of a-holes." However, the character did end up becoming friends with Rocket Raccoon. Interestingly, Serafinowicz recently spoke to ScreenRant on the Nova Corps possibly getting involved in Endgame.

When Screenrant asked if Garthan Saal of the Nova Corp from the Guardians of the Galaxy branch will appear in Avengers: Endgame, Serafinowicz said, "I can't say... I can neither confirm nor deny."

It's certainly interesting that Serafinowicz is playing coy with his answer. After all, it would be much simpler to say "no" or "I don't know." The vague response had fans wondering if Nova Corps will make an appearance in Endgame.

Of course, we need to point out that the Nova Corps probably doesn't exist in the MCU anymore. In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos attacked Xandar first to take the Power Stone before destroying the entire planet. Although it wasn't revealed whether there were any survivors, it's still highly unlikely that there are enough Nova Corps to band together and go after the Mad Titan in Endgame.

Serafinowicz might be trolling fans at this point. After all, his character was killed off in the first GOTG movie. For now, we recommend taking this one with a grain of salt.

Avengers: Endgame will finally hit theaters on April 26.
