The COVID-19 lockdown has been forcing people to isolate themselves at home, and with extra time on their hands, Marvel fans have been taking to social media to discuss everything and anything Marvel.
One of the most recent Marvel debates on Reddit as of late is the film a fan would pick if they were left on a deserted island (Via Showbiz Cheat Sheet). The only thing is, fans have to pick one.
While we all have our different favorite films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it seems like Marvel fans on Reddit have managed to reach an impasse choosing between Iron Man, the movie that kicked off the MCU, and Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel's very first cosmic comic book film adventure.
Interestingly enough, it seems like fans are leaning more towards the Guardians of the Galaxy. Sure, Iron Man might have started the MCU, but Guardians seems like a pretty great starter for everyone because it doesn't really reference anything else that's going on in the franchise. That means fans can go into the film without needing to know what else happened in the MCU.
According to the fans debating on Reddit, Guardians of the Galaxy seems like the optimal choice because it's a film that caters to both casual and hardcore fans. The movie also has a mix of everything from action, comedy, to drama.
Of course, others might want to disagree with Guardians of the Galaxy and put up an entirely different option on the list.
