The Suicide Squad was a chaotic masterpiece that was full of shocking moments and twists that you wouldn't see coming. Speaking of things you probably never thought you would see in the film, director James Gunn teased a cameo sequence featuring a beloved Guardians of the Galaxy actor that first-time viewers of the film shockingly failed to catch.

Apparently, Gunn wasn't bluffing at all and has in fact snuck in a cameo appearance from none other than Pom Klementieff who plays Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During the scene where the surviving members of Task Force X — Rick Flag, Polka-Dot Man, Ratcatcher 2, and Peacemaker were hanging out in a Corto Maltese bar in search of The Thinker, the camera quickly pans to a group of sultry dancers that includes Klementieff.

Pom doesn't play an important role in the film and was just there for mere seconds but fans who noticed the Mantis actress were very thrilled to see the MCU star make an appearance in a DCEU flick. Check out the reactions here:

It's quite strange how some fans weren't able to notice the cameo the first time around considering she was there for probably a good five seconds but I guess they've all gotten used to seeing Pom in her Guardians of the Galaxy look. Meanwhile, it would be neat if James could also use actors from The Suicide Squad and have them film a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. That's probably the closest thing we'll get to a Marvel and DC crossover that Gunn has been pushing for but it's still something, right?

The Suicide Squad is now showing in cinemas. It's also available for streaming on HBO Max.
