Guardians of the Galaxy: Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana Speak Out on James Gunn's Firing

It's amazing how the social media era has changed things for people in Hollywood. While the #metoo movement has done wonders for victims of sexual harassment, it also resulted in the firing of James Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, after offensive tweets he made a decade ago. This has been a controversial move, to say the least since Gunn has seemingly changed from the person he once was.

There's a long debate going on as to whether he deserves to be fired or not, with the Guardians of the Galaxy cast mostly staying quiet regarding the issue, aside from Dave Bautista. Now, Zoe Saldana and Chris Pratt have broken their silence on this and have spoken up, though neither of them passes judgment on Gunn.

Saldana stated that it has been a challenging week but let it be known that she loves ALL of her Guardians family. This may or may not include Gunn, whose influence on the series has been huge, but that's reading too much into it.

Pratt quoted the bible, which suspiciously comes from JAMES 1:19. The Star-Lord actor has been a religious person for quite some time, so this post from him isn't too surprising, though the vagueness of it is a bit confusing.

No replacement director has been announced for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
