Rick Grimes had bigger fish to fry in the premiere of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.

All he wanted to do was look for his wife, Michonne, only to wake up in the CRM facility where he was forced to work with the military. Because of this, he had a job to do within the confines of this community.

He was seen having to kill down Walkers as a part of his role and job. He was stuck, no matter how many times he tried to escape. He even lost his hand in the process.

Although he finally reunited with his wife in episode 3, the spinoff series hasn't exactly been kind to Rick.

Not only did he have to sneak Michonne in with a different alias, but his wife had to pretend to be Dana for the time being. This includes being one of the new consignees assigned to hunt down the Walkers for energy and crop sources, too.

That said, the camera focuses on the graffiti on the wall where Michonne was working: it says "Grimes 68." So what does this mean? And did Rick put this graffiti in? Here's what fans think.

The spinoff has yet to explain what the graffiti means. However, fans have their own theories, seeing how evident the setting was.

The "Grimes 68" was placed on the building wall right beside the station where consignees of the CRM were tasked to kill the Walkers for their resources.

This led fans to discuss its meaning on Reddit, with the majority agreeing that "Grimes 68" is presumably Rick setting the highest Walker kill record, especially given that his fellow consignees started cheering for him after he was done.

On the other hand, some fans from the same discussion thread initially thought it was his room number.

While it remains to be seen which one has the correct meaning behind the graffiti, their money is definitely on how Rick had killed 68 Walkers on his first day as consignee despite having only one hand to operate with.
