GOT7 Jinyoung sent a handwritten letter to his fans ahead of his military service enlistment.
Industry insiders revealed on Wednesday that GOT7 Jinyoung would be enlisting in the military in May. The idol also hinted at his plans following the premiere of his debut film, Christmas Carol. At that time, he said he would start preparing for his enlistment.

GOT7 Jinyoung Pens Heartfelt Letter Before Military Enlistment
On his Instagram page, the Cotton Candy singer shared a photo of his handwritten letter (written in Korean) to let his fans know about his military enlistment date.
According to Jinyoung, he will start fulfilling his duties on May 8.

“Everyone must be very worried, but I gotten rather confident and reassured while meeting all of you. That is why I promise to return more mature and in good health after experiencing a lot while thinking of everyone. Well then, let’s meet again soon,” he went on.
Jinyoung showered his fans with new projects since the beginning of this year before officially announcing his military enlistment. His works include his solo album Chapter 0: WITH, his 10th-anniversary fan concert Rendezvous in Seoul: Secret meeting between you and me, and his series, Witches.
GOT7 Jinyoung To Enlist as Active-Duty Soldier
Following Jinyoung’s update, JTBC News said in a report that Jinyoung would be enlisting as an active-duty soldier.
A source from BH Entertainment confirmed the information, saying that Jinyoung received his assignment before his official enlistment.
“Our agency’s artist Park Jinyoung will receive basic military training at the training center [starting] on Monday, May 8 and fulfill his military duty as an active-duty soldier,” the label continued.
Jinyoung debuted as a member of JJ Project and GOT7. Prior to that, he was cast to play the role of Jung Ui Bong in the hit series, Dream High 2. He expanded his career as an actor while promoting as a solo singer and an idol, starring in different series and films, including The Devil Judge, When My Love Blooms, He is Psychometric, This Is My Love: The Beginning, and School of Magic.
