Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Poster Teases Major Ghidorah Battle

Fans are already aware that King Ghidorah will be returning to the big screen in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. However, a new poster for the highly anticipated kaiju film seems to suggest that the three-headed monster might be the "king" referred to in the title.

The poster was shared by C. Robert Cargill on his official Twitter account. The screenwriter was recently presented with a signed artwork by King of the Monsters director Michael Dougherty and the poster features just what you might expect from a monster movie. Take a look at the post below.

Cargill tweeted, "This is just your reminder that I have seen parts of GODZILLA KING OF MONSTERS while watching it get scored, and all I can tell you is that you guys are not f--g ready."

The poster depicts Godzilla with King Ghidorah and is emblazoned with the tagline, "Love Live The King." Although one might assume that it is a reference to Godzilla, some also believe that it is referring to Ghidorah instead.

We're certainly looking forward to a major battle between Godzilla and Ghidorah in King of the Monsters. It's just unclear if Mothra will join the fight or if the kaiju is set to go up against a different monster.

It's still a long wait for the premiere of King of the Monsters but it looks like the sequel is already underway. It was previously reported that Godzilla vs. Kong is currently in production and the first set photos have already revealed Alexander Skarsgard and Eiza Gonzales in action.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will premiere on May 31, 2019. Godzilla vs. Kong is scheduled for release on May 22, 2020.
