Goblin Slayer became a huge trending topic when the first season aired because of its shock factor, though it took a while before it returned with a new anime. Finally, Goblin Slayer Season 2 got an official release date announcement.
Fans of the show will be happy to know that the long-awaited next season will be released in the upcoming Fall season.
Along with the release date reveal, the second season also revealed new details, along with a key visual.
Goblin Slayer Gets New Studio, Returning Cast for Season 2
There are lots of fantasy anime released every season, but Goblin Slayer drew more attention than most when it first aired in 2018. This is because of the shocking, violent events of the first episode.
Thanks to its popularity, the Goblin Slayer franchise got lots of projects, including spinoff light novels and manga. But the second season took a while before it was confirmed.
In 2021, Goblin Slayer Season 2 was finally announced, though fans had to wait two whole years before another update. This finally came earlier this year as the show got more details revealed, including its new studio.
The first season was animated by White Fox, the studio behind Re:Zero and Steins;Gate. But for Season 2, anime studio Liden Films of Tokyo Revengers fame has taken over animation duties.
A studio change may have happened, but it was confirmed that the original cast from the first season is returning.
These include Yui Ogura (Hime Shirasagi in Yuri Is My Job!) and Yuichiro Umehara (Weather Report in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as Priestess and Goblin Slayer, respectively.

Goblin Slayer Reveals October 2023 Release Date
Now, more info was shared, such as the opening and ending songs. For starters, the opening theme is titled Entertainment by Mili, the performer of Vermeil in Gold’s ending theme.
Meanwhile, the ending theme is titled Kasumi no Muko e (or To the Other Side of the Mist in English) by Yuki Nakashima. She is best known for singing the ending theme of Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie.
The show’s key visual was also revealed. It features Goblin Slayer, Priestess, and High Elf Archer prominently at the top. They are joined by Lizard Priest and Dwarf Shaman, who will likely play big roles in the upcoming season.
Goblin Slayer Season 2 will be released on October 6, 2023. Much like the first season, the sequel will be streamed on Crunchyroll in the US and other selected regions.
