What Is Girls Band Cry About?

In her sophomore year, the main character, Nina, decides to leave high school. She aspires to secure a spot in a university while navigating the challenges of solo life in Tokyo.

At the same time, a young girl experiences betrayal from her friends, leaving her uncertain about what’s next for her.

Elsewhere, another girl finds herself abandoned by her parents, attempting to make ends meet in the city through part-time jobs.

In a world that constantly disappoints, where plans often unravel, these girls seek something enduring to cherish.

They hold onto the belief that there is a place where they truly fit in, and that’s why they sing.

The series focuses on five girls who team up to form a band. The band consists of Rupa on the bass, Tomo Ebizuka on the keys, Subaru Awa on the drums, Momoka Kawaregi on guitars, and Nina Iseri on vocals.

Girls Band Cry is an original anime created and produced by Toei Animation (of Dragon Ball and One Piece fame).
