George Webster is an English actor who gained recognition for his various roles. Among the shows he has done include Tripped, Versailles, and The Doll Factory.

He also starred in the film, My Name is Emily.

In this particular episode, we find the group in high spirits as they celebrate Captain Dye for completing 25 missions. This was a momentous victory for everyone in the group as this signaled a pilot's return to America.

Out of the 100th Bomb Group, Captain Dye was the first pilot to complete this number of missions. This victory alone played a huge significance for everyone.

Once the soldier was sent back home after completing 25 missions, he served as a beacon of hope for the American public. They gave them a platform to tell their stories and how America was winning the war.

When Captain Dye was able to complete 25 missions, he managed to return to the US. Despite this, he continued to serve the Army Air Forces when he completed his tour.

According to Captain Dye's profile on the 100th Bomb Group Foundation, he was stationed in Salina, Kansas.

During the "Battle of Kansas," Captain Dye served as a test pilot for the B-29 planes before replacing B-17s. He also worked as a crash investigator and a flight instructor.

He continued to serve until the war ended in 1945. Even though he was discharged with a Captain rank, Dye received the title of "Acting Colonel," which allowed him to lead his men.

Dye named his plane Sunny, after the nickname he gave to his son. He was quoted saying:

"A pilot could like a B-17 and fly it without much trouble, but you had to RESPECT a B-29.
