George Clooney and Julia Roberts reunited for a joint interview for their upcoming big-screen partnership in the romantic-comedy Ticket to Paradise. Clooney shared how he talked about their kissing scene in the film with his wife, Amal, and shared the latter's reaction.

Clooney joined Roberts in a virtual interview with The New York Times as they talked about their rom-com project that will be released next month. The pair have worked together on multiple projects, including Ocean's Eleven and Money Monster.
Robert has made a name in making great rom-com. Clooney admitted that he hadn't done one since his 1996 movie One Fine Day.
When he read the script, he was convinced that it would be a great project, especially with Roberts alongside him. During the interview, he confirmed that they would have an onscreen kiss.
"And we kiss in this. But I don't want give the whole shop away," Clooney, 54, said.
The interviewer commented that the kiss was expected as it was a romantic comedy movie.
"One kiss. And we did it for, like, six months," Roberts chimed in.
"Yeah. I told my wife, 'It took 80 takes.' She was like, "What the hell?" Clooney said, referring to his wife, Amal.
Roberts cleared things out, adding, "It took 79 takes of us laughing and then the one take of us kissing." Clooney added that "we had to get it right."

Clooney admitted that he isn't as successful as Roberts in doing rom-com. So, after reading the script, he said if she accepted the project, he would do the same, thinking it could be fun.
Roberts, who hasn't done a romantic-comedy movie for almost two decades, admitted that doing the project with Clooney "made sense" because they have the chemistry.
In the film, they are playing a divorced couple trying to stop their daughter's surprise wedding with someone she met during a graduation trip to Bali. However, the reunion rekindled the spark between Clooney and Roberts' characters because by the end of the film, they went from "exes to something like XO," the report noted.
"Half of America probably thinks we are divorced, so we have that going for us," Roberts joked about the rumors linking her to Clooney for years.
"We should be divorced because I'm married now, so that would be really bad. Just saying," Clooney jokingly added.
Roberts added that "there's some alchemy" about them, and one can sense it "from a distance." Meanwhile, Clooney admits being drawn to Roberts for several reasons.
"I'm always been drawn to Julia, for a lot of reasons," he said. "One of them is that she has forever been a proper movie star but she's totally willing to not take herself seriously, and that makes such a difference in life because we've spent a lot of time together. She's also a really gifted actress. She works really hard but you never see her sweat, and it's the quality I appreciate most in my favorite actors, like Spencer Tracy."
Roberts is happily married to her husband of 20 years, Daniel Moder. They share three children 17-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, and Henry, 15.
Clooney is also a dad of twins with his wife, Amal. They share 5-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander.
Ticket to Paradise will hit theaters on Oct. 21.
