Woman's Day New Zealand, in its April 4, 2022 issue, reported that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were spotted looking tensed as they left Washington DC last week following a meeting with President Joe Biden. An unnamed source told the entertainment news publication:

"Amal and George were barely speaking to each other. They seemed grumpy and stressed out!"

"Amal was hoping George would be inspired to finally take the plunge and step into politics. She things they'd make an incredible president and first lady team."

Unfortunately, as per the publication, George Clooney is not interested in the job at all. The same insider furthered:

"There was a time George would have considered it, but he's starting to plan for easing into retirement. After spending time in the White House, he knows it's not what he wants anymore."

The George Clooney-directed film follows the triumphant underdog story of the University of Washington men's rowing team, who later shocked the world when they won gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Chris Diamantopoulos would portray Royal Brougham, a Seattle sports journalist who follows the team and reports their story.
