Geoff Johns: Warner Bros is Aware of How Important Superman Is

Superman may have appeared in three DCEU movies already, but he hasn't gotten a solo movie since Man of Steel in 2013. While it looks like we may never get another Superman film ever, Geoff Johns assures fans that WB knows just how important Superman is to the DCEU and fans in general.

Why Johns can't give us any solid updates on a Man of Steel sequel, he does tell Collider:

"Look, working with [DC Films President] Walter Hamada and [Warner Bros. Chairman] Toby [Emmerich] over there at [Warner Bros.], they feel the same way. Everyone loves Superman and knows how important Superman is."

While Superman had been broody for his first three movies, he saw a sudden shift in character come Justice League—much to the dismay of a lot of fans. Sure this Superman is all smiley and joke-y, but it felt like he didn't transition properly from the Clark that was introduced in the first two movies.

Besides, his moments weren't all that bad. This scene still manages to give me chills:

The good news is, Cavill seems to be onboard with doing more Superman, and it's even rumored that he'll have a cameo in the upcoming Shazam!. I'm just hoping that they find a good balance of his character that is a bit lighter than the BvS version, but still more serious than the Supes in Justice League.

And while they're at it, they should do something about Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor.

The Man of Steel sequel has not been officially announced.
