Gemini Man Actor Will Smith Scolds His Younger Self in New Trailer

Yesterday we got a featurette from Gemini Man exploring the work that went into bringing a younger Will Smith back to the screen, and now Paramount has decided to drop a whole new trailer for the film giving us more meat to the story.

Here's the official description:

Gemini Man (#GeminiMan) is an innovative action-thriller starring Will Smith (#WillSmith) as Henry Brogan, an elite assassin, who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move.

While the first teasers looked to be a generic action movie, I think this new preview gives us more insight into the humanity of the characters. We see a lot more conflicted feelings when it comes to the younger Smith (Junior), and we also have the older Smith cracking jokes as he does in every film.

I also think it's funny how the older Smith gets to scold the younger version of himself as if it's something we all would have done if we met our younger counterparts.

I'll admit, the movie does look like a generic "spy turned against his agency" kind of film, and the only hook really is that there are two Will Smiths battling it out. With director Ang Lee's track record though, there has to be something deeper here that the PR guys didn't bother to put into the trailer.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Catch Gemini Man when it hits theaters Oct. 11.
