Game Of Thrones Season 8 Teaser Reveals The Series' Exact Premiere Month On HBO

The year is slowly coming to an end, and with 2019 in the horizon Game of Thrones fans have begun looking forward to the eighth and final season of the popular fantasy epic. Now, it looks like Game of Thrones finally has specific information regarding the release date of season 8 thanks to a brand new teaser for the series' final season on HBO.

Posting on Game of Thrones' official Twitter account, HBO just recently dropped a new teaser revealing the exact release date of the series final set of episodes.

Though the video doesn't really offer any new footage to a fanbase starved for information, it does give the month of the season premiere, April 2019. That's a month ahead of Avengers 4. Before the teaser release, fans only knew that Game of Thrones would return for its eighth season sometime during the first half of the year.

There's been a lot of anticipation building up over the next batch of episodes of Game of Thrones. The last season of the series had the White Walkers breaking through the Wall, and with the army of the dead marching with the Night's King at the lead, fans have started wondering just who might make it alive after this battle between the living and the dead. Will it be Daenerys Stormborn (Emilia Clarke)? Will it be Jone Snow? How about the Stark siblings, what's going to happen to them? Will Cersei (Lena Headey) die in the next season?

Let's keep our fingers crossed. Game of Thrones season 8 drops April 2019.
