Game Of Thrones Season 8: Iain Glen Reveals Which Character Will Survive

(HBO)

There is no shortage of theories about which characters will survive to the end of Game of Thrones Season 8. However, Iain Glen may have confirmed that he knows at least one character will be victorious in the final season.

Glen recently spoke to Express about Season 8, confirming that they "read like the six best scripts" and that "the final scripts are really special." In addition to that, the Resident Evil: The Final Chapter star admitted that he is proud to have played Jorah Mormont in the HBO series.

"It allowed me to travel all the world. I am one of the lucky ones who made it through!" Glen revealed. He later added that fans can expect an "emotional" conclusion to the beloved show.

It certainly sounds like Jorah will survive what is expected to be an epic battle against the White Walkers in the final season. Unfortunately, it is unclear if he will finally get the girl since Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) was last seen with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in the previous season finale. Nevertheless, that's one less character to worry about next year.

There are several theories about which characters will get killed off in Season 8. Dany herself is believed to be fated to die although she plays an important role in the series. In addition to that, Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) might meet his end, as teased by the Game of Thrones VFX team. Fans are also expecting Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) to be killed before the season finale. Will the Night King succeed in destroying everyone in the Seven Kingdoms? We'll have to wait until next year to find out.

The Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere date has not yet been announced. Nevertheless, the final season is expected to premiere on HBO by Summer 2019.
