Game of Thrones Prequel: Possible Look at House Stark and Their Old Direwolf Sigil

While everyone is still bummed about the ending for Game of Thrones, HBO is now hard at work with their prequel series. The show has confirmed to include an older generation of House Stark, and we may have our first look at the family thanks to some set photos.

Though the immediate reaction is that these are the old Starks, looking at the sigil again kind of reminds of me of a panther rather than a wolf. Then again, the fact that these guys are on ships like Vikings kind of harkens to Arya Stark's ending in the original show. Maybe the Starks were Voyagers before they became Wardens of the North?

Personally, I'm hoping that this prequel will be closer to the earlier episodes of the show as compared to the last ones. I always thought that the interesting thing about GoT was the character interactions and political intrigue, but by the end, everything kind of became about huge war setpieces and CGI spectacles. I mean, those aren't terrible either, but I would think character development would have been priority over everything else.

For now, Game of Thrones is set to have their own Hall H panel at SDCC 2019 on July 19, 5:30 p.m. Though I am expecting an appearance from showrunners, directors, and some of the main cast, I'm kind of hoping we get our first look at this prequel, possibly a title and release date as well.
