Emma D'Arcy recently took part in an acting roundtable for The Hollywood Reporter and they discussed the preparations for House of the Dragon. Interestingly, that included speaking to Emilia Clarke, who gave them some important advice about taking over the fantasy franchise.

"I spoke to Emilia Clarke before I started shooting, and she was beautiful and so generous," D'Arcy said.

"[She told me] loads of stuff, which honestly, I'm going to keep for myself," they added.

"I'm also very lucky. That wig is a blessing," D'Arcy said of the platinum blonde wig they wear in House of the Dragon.

"People don't recognize me, so my day-to-day is broadly unchanged, which I feel very grateful for, not least because, and maybe this is also a question, I feel that the ability to observe others and not be the observed is so fundamentally important to our job," they said.

"I guess I've just really worried about that," D'Arcy added.

Emilia Clarke played Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones and the role catapulted the Secret Invasion actor into superstardom. Meanwhile, Emma D'Arcy has yet to land their next big role after the first season of House of the Dragon.

D'Arcy is set to return as Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon Season 2. Although the second season has already been announced, it has not yet been given an official release date.

Nevertheless, the series is already expected to return on HBO by next year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
