Arnold Schwarzenegger is gearing up for his first-ever scripted television role in Netflix's upcoming series, FUBAR.

Created by Nick Santora, the writer-producer behind hits like Prison Break and Scorpion, the eight-episode series is a comedic spy adventure inspired by Schwarzenegger's 1994 hit feature, True Lies.

FUBAR: Father-Daughter Spy Duo

The series follows Luke, played by Schwarzenegger, who is ready to retire from his secret life as a CIA operative and focus on repairing his relationship with his daughter, Emma (Monica Barbaro), and ex-wife.

However, his retirement plans are disrupted when he is tasked with extracting a top CIA agent and securing classified information, only to discover that the agent is his own daughter.

Luke and Emma soon learn that they have each been secretly working as CIA operatives for years, and their entire father-daughter dynamic comes into question as they realize they don't truly know each other at all.

Forced to work together to finish the mission, the series explores universal family dynamics against a backdrop of spies, action, and humor.

Santora's Dream Project

Nick Santora has been in the television industry for over 20 years, working on several hit series such as The Sopranos, Law & Order, and Lie to Me. As the showrunner for Scorpion, he was the perfect person to helm Schwarzenegger's entry into the world of television. In a recent interview with TV Insider, Santora revealed his excitement about working with the legendary actor on FUBAR.

He states, "I'd love to elaborate with more details, but, sorry, it's classified."
