Frozen II: Funko POP! Image Give Us Look at New Characters

Though Frozen II is going to focus on characters we've met in the first film, we're still going to be meeting some new faces in the movie. Disney has been keeping mum about all the new characters in the sequel, but an image of a Funko POP has given us a tease of new characters to come.

Check it out:

Probably the most noticeable one is Mattias who is voiced by Sterling K. Brown in the film. According to Polygon, Destin Mattias is a lieutenant who has somehow found himself (and his troops) lost in the enchanted forest that will be introduced in the film.

We also get a look at the magical Water Nokk which appears to Elsa in the previews, as well as an Earth Giant, which I think is nod to the snow giant from the first film, Marshmallow. We don't know how these creatures will factor into the story, but I guess the Earth Giant is related to the forest, and the water Nokk is somehow connected to Elsa's powers.

I'll admit, Frozen is a bit more kid-friendly than other new Disney films like Zootopia and Ralph Breaks the Internet, but the previews seem to be teasing a more mature story for Elsa and Anna. After the whole fiasco with the Olaf short and Coco, I hope that Disney has come up with a film that has grown along with its audience.

Catch Frozen II when it hits theaters Nov. 22.
