The Frieren: Beyond Journey's End anime may be over, but fans can look forward not only to the ongoing manga but also to the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End real-life escape room game.
This upcoming escape room theme is an officially licensed collaboration that will take place in select Real Escape Game locations in Japan.
In this game, players will need to help Fern and Stark as they solve a difficult conundrum without Frieren's help.
What to Expect in the Frieren Escape Room
Anime-themed escape rooms in Japan aren’t new. After all, other popular titles such as Demon Slayer have inspired their escape room collabs.
This latest one is a must-try for Frieren fans though, especially given its unique premise.
Instead of being trapped in a dangerous dungeon like in the First Class Mage Exam arc, Fern and Stark find themselves faced with a huge problem.
This escape room is set in a dream world where Fern and Stark, with the help of players, must wake Frieren up.
The problem is that this isn’t just Frieren’s typical deep sleep, as the team must find a magical grimoire to wake her up.
As with all escape room games, players will only have an hour to find the grimoire by solving various puzzles.
It’s not clear yet what the escape room will look like, but what was highlighted is some special merchandise that will be up for sale to mark the collaboration.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Escape Room Venues and Dates
This escape room collaboration will open at various SCRAP stores in Japan. It will debut at the Real Escape Game Harajuku Store in Tokyo, which will be open from June 20 to September 23.
The collab will also be available for a limited time in Olga Hall in Okayama from July 20 to 21. The Real Escape Game Minamihorie Store in Osaka will also hold the collab from July 25 to September 29.
Finally, the escape room collab will also be available in Real Escape Stores in other cities across Japan, including Yokohama, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Sendai.
Is the Frieren Escape Room Coming to Countries Outside of Japan?
As this collab is with the Japanese company SCRAP, the Frieren escape room will likely only be available in Japan. It should also mean that the game will be playable in Japanese only.
This is the case with many anime collaborations. Hopefully, a US-based escape room can also get a partnership with Frieren to bring something like this outside of Japan.
