The Winter 24 season has lots of anime in a wide range of genres. For those looking for a funny rom-com with a fantasy twist, look no further than The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil, an anime that will be released in January 2024.
This upcoming anime is based on a manga that has been ongoing since June 2016. Thus, many fans of the source material are excited to finally see the story get adapted into an anime.
Rom-Com Anime The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil Reveals Main Cast
As its title implies, The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil follows an angel and a demon as its main characters.
The story begins with Masatora Akutsu, a demon who goes to Earth to recruit humans in their fight against Heaven. Masatora soon targets the charismatic Lily Amane.
It turns out that Lily is an undercover angel who hunts demons. Lily soon defeats Masatora and forces him to become her servant. While Masatora plans to break free, Lily aims to use him to reform Heaven.
Aside from its Romeo and Juliet with a twist premise, the show might also catch the interest of fans thanks to its stacked voice cast.

- Ayane Sakura (Ochaco Uraraka in My Hero Academia) as Lily Amane

The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil Shares January 2024 Release Date
The Foolish Angel’s VAs were highlighted in the anime’s new trailer which previews new footage, alongside the two theme songs.
Performing the opening song Otowa is the music group Taiyo to Odore, Tsukiyo ni Utae.
Meanwhile, the ending song is titled Gift and is performed by Kaori Ishihara (Shouta Magatsuchi in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid).

The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil will premiere in Japan in January 2024. There’s no specific release date yet for the anime’s first episode.
Crunchyroll confirmed that it will stream the series in the US and other selected regions. New episodes will be available on the platform shortly after their Japanese TV broadcast.
