Flash Solo Movie Could Be Dropping the Flashpoint Storyline

The Flash solo movie has been getting a ton of delays with directors leaving left and right, but the film now seems to have traction with directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein coming onboard. Rumors have been going around that the movie will lose its announced Flashpoint title, and now it seems that the film is dropping the storyline altogether.

With a lot of people expecting to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan appear as the Flashpoint Batman, this could mean that those plans are no longer pushing through. Though I think it's fine that the film could still dabble with time travel, I think the DCEU should wait before doing something as big as The Flashpoint Paradox.

Though the DCEU is focused on having Darkseid as the ‘Thanos' of the cinematic universe, I think it would be cooler to have Flashpoint be the main theme for a Justice League movie. For one, it kind of affects everyone in the DCEU, and the conflict between Antlantis and the Amazons in the alternate timeline could make for some great cinematics. Not to mention, no one will be comparing Darkseid to Thanos.

Justice League was not one of the DCEU's best, but a lot of people agree that the casting has been spot on for every member. Hopefully directors Daley and Goldstein can come up with a great movie that stays true for the Flash we met in Justice League.

No official release date has been set for The Flash, but the film could come out in 2020.
