It was announced last May that Simpsons and Futurama creator Matt Groening was making a show for Netflix, and now we have our first teaser for Disenchantment.
No official synopsis has been given for the show, but we do know that it takes place in the realm of Dreamland, and follows the journey of Princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson). Along with Bean's character being arrested in the teaser is Elfo the elf (Nat Fixon), and Luci the demon (Eric Andre). We also know that the character of Bean's father is voiced by John DiMaggio (Bender from Futurama). Also expect other Groening show veterans to lend their voices like Billy West, David Herman, and Maurice LeMarche.
Originally Netflix was said to have ordered 20 episodes from Groening , but the premiere is said to have only ten. It's already a good number of episodes, besides, it takes a crazy long time just to complete one. No doubt we'll have to wait until next year to see the second half of the season.
With two shows already under his belt, Groening has found success with both Futurama and The Simpsons. We don't know exactly how well-received Disenchantment will turn out, but hopefully it lives up to the hype.
