First Official Look at New Arkham Knight From Detective Comics #1000

Ever since it was announced that the Arkham Knight would be coming to the main DC universe, fans have been pretty hyped for Detective Comics #1000. Granted, fans were already excited thanks to this being a giant-sized landmark issue and having the main creative team of Peter J. Tomasi and Doug Mahnke but adding a villain from the hit video game definitely added to it.

Now, DC Comics officially unveiled our first look at the "canon" Arkham Knight and the villain looks pretty sleek, thanks to Mahnke's art. We know that this won't be Jason Todd since the character is still active in his solo series Red Hood: Outlaw. Who this villain ends up being is going to be interesting and could rock the DC universe, assuming that the character is written well.

Tomasi has written the Batman: Arkham Knight tie-in comics before and even penned the mini-series that focused on the title villain, so it seems like he will be a good fit to introduce this new iteration of the villain. Plus, Tomasi is a stellar writer who has written a number of great comics and he has always worked well with Mahnke.

Detective Comics #1000 is going to be a 96-page one-shot with an all-star creative team. The comic book will be coming out in March.
