First Look at What We Do in the Shadows Spinoff, Wellington Paranormal

It's finally here. After months of sparse updates and little news, we finally have our first look at the What We Do in the Shadows spinoff, Wellington Paranormal.

The series follows the adventures of the two bumbling cops from the movie played by Karen O'Leary and Mike Minogue. We go with them as they try to solve all of the paranormal problems that are haunting the two of Wellington, New Zealand.

Just in case you don't know who the characters are, here's a fresh reminder:

Wellington Paranormal is said to follow the same mockumentary format of What We Do in the Shadows, and will be a tad inspired by X-Files. The teaser doesn't really give away too many jokes in the series, but hopefully we get a fuller trailer as the release date draws nearer.

There are a lot of high hopes for this show, counting that it also has the involvement of WWDITS directors Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. With the movie already doing great coverage for the world of vampires, just imagine what the show can go to with more monsters like werewolves, ghosts, and witches.

Wellington Paranormal airs on TVNZ2 on July 11.
