First Ever Major Competitive Magic: The Gathering Pauper Event is Coming

Pauper, the best budget Magic: The Gathering format, is finally getting a major event in an upcoming MagicFest, and you can get a MagicFest promo Lightning Bolt for participating.

It's not the Grand Prix main event but it's going to be the most competitive Pauper event yet. According to The Professor of Tolarian Community College, on Saturday, March 2, MagicFest Los Angeles will be holding the first ever Pauper Pro Tour Qualifier (now called Mythic Championship Qualifier).

That's exciting news for fans of the budget Magic format. Hopefully, we'll see more major Pauper events in future MagicFests. Participants will get a copy of this promo Lightning Bolt:
