Final Trailer for Aquaman Gives Us a Look at Ocean Master

The DCEU is ready to get their feet back on the ground with next month's Aquaman, and WB is working hard with a promotion. Just in, the final trailer for the movie has been dropped, and it gives us a good look at the beautiful world of Atlantis as well as the giant monsters that live beneath the surface.

Besides seeing more of Atlantis, we also get a look at Patrick Wilson in his full Ocean Master garb. Say what you will about the DCEU, but they can bring comic-faithful suits to the big screen without making them look silly.

We also have a lot more on the lore of the movie. Though Aquaman's trident had been showcased in previous trailers, this is the trailer that makes it out to be a big deal. As it turns out, it can supposedly ‘put Atlantis back together again.'

Though I was a fan of how Aquaman was officially teased in SDCC 2016 with the Justice League trailer, it looks like they re-adjusted his attitude to be less of a muscular broody type to a friendly ‘surfer-bro' character. If I had it my way, I would have preferred that Arthur Curry wasn't as quippy as in the trailers. Either way, the DCEU is embracing this personality for Aquaman now, so it's best just embrace it as well and move along.

Aquaman reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.

Aquaman hits theaters Dec. 21.
