The Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer during E3 2019 gave us a good look at our heroes, like Cloud, Aerith, Barret, and fan-favorite fanservice fighter Tifa. We also got a good look at some of the enemies Cloud and his crew will be facing, including former mentor turned foe Sephiroth. Since the game will only cover the Midgard section, there are only a few characters left to reveal and we'll be seeing them soon.

During an interview with Weekly Famitsu (via Gematsu), co-director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that we would be seeing members of the Shinra Electric Company during this year's Tokyo Game Show (TGS). This means characters like Rufus and members of The Turks could be revealed in the event, which should have fans of the video game pumped up.

Elena, Tsung, Rude, and Reno have been favorites since the original game, so it will be fun fighting them again during Final Fantasy VII Remake. Spoiler alert, these characters make it all the way till the end, even appearing in the movie-only sequel Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Kingdom Hearts fans might also think that Reno is an Axel ripoff, though they might have changed the voice actors since then.

Got it memorized?

Honestly, Final Fantasy VII Remake looks like a delight and could be the gateway for many to enjoy this title again. While I would like to see the next Final Fantasy after this game, I would not be opposed to a remake of Final Fantasy VIII or Final Fantasy IX once they conclude the VII remake and all its parts.

Final Fantasy VII Remake comes out on March 3, 2020.
