Final Fantasy VII Remake: First Look At The Air Buster Boss

There is a lot of excitement for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake, even if it does end up coming out in 2023. While it's a long wait, it will probably be worth it since no one wants to see a rushed game come out. Fans are hoping that E3 has more footage or an official release date but a recent job recruitment page from Square Enix has revealed something big.

In the aforementioned recruitment page, a shot of the Air Buster mech can be seen in one of the employee's computers. While not in full HD or anything like that, you can tell that the boss has been given a big, beautiful upgrade and should get many Final Fantasy fans feeling nostalgic.

Most of the footage seen thus far has shown the original game's beginnings but with the new graphics that make it stand out. Naturally, we were eventually going to see the Air Buster since it was the first boss battle players participated in. This was hinted at in some screenshots/videos since Cloud and Barret are the only party members shown thus far, so Tifa can't be far behind.

Since it is the second boss battle, the Air Buster is pretty easy to beat. Cloud already has the Materia (magic spell) that the boss is weak to - Thunder - so it will be interesting to see if the same strategy applies here. It is real-time battles now after all.

No release date for the Final Fantasy VII remake has been announced, though rumors claim that it is set for a 2023 shipping.
