Special Agent Jess LaCroix on FBI: Most Wanted met his end after three seasons. Julian McMahon's character died while defending a woman from her abusive ex-husband.
“The fact that it happened literally in the heart of New York City was something that I thought was perfect for the character,” showrunner David Hudgins told Variety. “It’s like he died saving the town he loved.”
McMahon is believed to have departed the show to pursue his own creative endeavors, one of which is rumored to be his starring role in writer David Ludlow's upcoming film Justice.
Meanwhile, McDermott's character is set to offer a new pace and dynamic to the show, approaching the Fugitive Task Force's difficulties from a different angle and with a far different style than predecessor Jess.
