AMC plans to shake things up with their Walking Dead formula what with Andrew Lincoln set to exit the show. Now news has it that the film has found a new cast member in the form of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them's Dan Fogler.
According to ComicBook, Fogler's role is said to be secret for now. We don't know exactly if his character will be lifted from the comics, but it may have something to do with the new setting of Washington, D.C. Then again, it's not a surprise if they bring him in as a totally new character.
The Walking Dead has recently been having trouble with ratings, and it doesn't help that two of the show's biggest stars are gearing up for an exit before the show even hits half of its season run. After the death of Carl Grimes, we now have to say goodbye to the likes of Rick and Maggie.
Now AMC is courting Norman Reedus (Daryl) to be the new lead of the show. The series has certainly made some serious deviations from the source material, but to have someone who doesn't even exist in the comics as the lead could mean that The Walking Dead 9 is up for a serious change in tone.
The Walking Dead 9 premieres on AMC this coming October.
