Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore Reviews Are In and It's Getting Mixed Responses

We're now getting closer to the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, the latest entry in the Wizarding World franchise which continues Newt Scamander's magical journey in the early 20th century. The early reactions from the critics and journalists who have seen the film in advance seem to be glowing with some even calling it a return to form in the franchise after the disappointing second film.

Now that the review embargo for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has been lifted, what do the critics actually think of the upcoming film? Apparently, it seems that it is getting mixed reviews so far. As of the time of the writing of this article, the film has a 58% Rotten Tomatoes score out of the 38 reviews that they gathered so far. While it is neither a high nor low score, it does indicate that the reception has been mixed although it is teetering a bit to the positive side.

Here are some of the reviews of the film from the critics:

It is obvious seeing all the reviews that there is some sort of divisiveness over the responses to the film as some of them praised it as a great return to form for the franchise and as a satisfying and entertaining entry while some were disappointed and even expressed their wish that it will be the last one in the Fantastic Beasts series.

The reviews that we are seeing so far are somewhat a contrast to the early reactions which have been mostly positive. Of course, films are subjective and there is a chance that the general audience will have a much different response to the film. Also, so far, there are less than a hundred reviews that are published so far which means that the Rotten Tomatoes score could change in the next few days as it could go either up or down.

While the reviews have been mixed so far, the studio's determination of its success will be on the box office results which will indicate if they are going to greenlight a third film in the franchise or if they will finally pull the plug. As long as its box office performance will be similar to or better than the previous film, we should foresee more future in the Fantastic Beasts series.
